Dr. Miyatake's research spans behavior, evolution, and ecology, focusing on how small animals, particularly insects, interact with and survive in their environment, with a special emphasis on the impact of environmental changes on biological traits. In this talk, he will focus on ”playing dead,” which is considered an anti-predator behavior, and discuss a wide range of topics from fundamentals to applications.

Since this topic is deeply related to the Systems Behavioral Science Research Group scheduled for the following day, it was decided to hold it in collaboration.
